In 1843, Jožef Langer planted trees at its exact location and the Volksgarden Public Tree Park was born. The park was later sold to the Municipality of Maribor on condition to maintain its name. From the start, Ljudski vrt (People's garden) is intended for people.

Tone Parljič, who is truly one-of-a- kind, lent his voice to Ljudski vrt for #legends and spoke about its mission in a short film: “My name is Ljudski vrt. I was born as a public tree park and became a football fortress in 1952. My club is winning many laurels and is successfully fighting with the Champions league giants. My heart is a 105-meter long and 68-meter wide grass pitch. I have 12,700 covered seats reserved for our passionate fans. United, our hearts beat loudly. We stick together in good and bad. My name means “a people's garden” because I am intended for people. Together we create #legends.”

About the project
#NALEGENDE short film series is based on personal testimonials of legends and their inspiring life stories, which are otherwise also represented by the legendary Zlatorog brand. Laško is a legendary beer and also a loyal partner of the Slovenian sport. Every short film represents a tribute to extraordinary personalities who achieved grate things and thus became legends.
